03. Product Description
Polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS) is a commonly used reducing agent that is easy to handle, non-toxic, gentle, and stable. While it is relatively unreactive with organic functional groups, PMHS can transfer its hydrides to different metal catalysts and various other reducible functional groups, enabling extensive reduction reactions. Additionally, Polymethylhydrosiloxane can be used in conjunction with nucleophilic activators to serve as a reducing agent.
04. Typical Applications
- Widely used in the finishing of all kinds of fibers such as cotton, hemp, silk, nylon, polyester, Or the hydrophobing and moisture-proof treatment of powders, glass, ceramic, leather, paper, metal, cement and marble.
- Used as the cross linker for addition type silicone rubber series.
- Used as the basic material and a fundamental intermediate to synthesize some modified silicone oil including polyether modified silicone oil and alkyl based modified silicone oil.
- Used as hydrophobic agent, lubricant and antisticking agent of oily based foundation of cosmetics

- Store in dry, clean and airtight container.( packed in 200kg/drom or 1000kg/ IBC)
- Do not touch acid, alkali and other impurities. Keep away from fire, sunlight and rain during storage and transportation.
