03. Product Description
BTS1770 is a clear colorless, low-odor liquid. BTS1770 may be used as an adhesion promoter (coupling agent) for organic/inorganic interfaces, as a surface modifier (e.g. regulating surface polarity) or as a crosslinking agent (moisture-curing of polymers). When used as coupling agent, it generally reduces the sensitivity of the products’ mechanical and electrical properties to heat and/or moisture.

- For Glass fiber and glass fabric composites: Used as a finish or sizing ingredient
- Foundry resins: Added as an additive to polyurethane resins
- Sealants and adhesives: Used as a primer or additive
- Mineral-filled composites: Used for pretreating fillers and pigments, or as an additive to the polymer
- Paints and coatings: Used as an additive and primer to enhance adhesion to the substrate
- Improved shelf life compared to aminosilanes in polyurethanes
- Enhanced mechanical properties, including flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength, and modulus of elasticity
